Information we collect

When you use WasteCalc API, we collect:

• Account information: Email address and name when you create an account or join the waitlist.
• API usage data: Request logs including timestamps, endpoints called, parameters passed (project type, square footage, ZIP code), and response codes. We do not log your API key in plaintext.
• Payment information: Processed by Stripe. We store only a Stripe customer ID - no card numbers or bank details.

How we use it

• To provide and operate the API service
• To enforce rate limits and billing metering
• To send transactional emails (account setup, API key delivery, invoices)
• To improve accuracy of waste estimation models

Data sharing

We do not sell your data. We share data only with the following service providers operating on our behalf:

• Cloudflare - CDN and edge computing (request routing)
• Stripe - Payment processing and subscription management
• Brevo - Transactional email delivery

Data retention

API request logs are retained for 90 days. Account data is retained while your account is active and for 30 days after deletion. You may request deletion of your data at any time.

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by contacting us at [email protected]. We will respond within 30 days.
